It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, triage or emergency care, and is not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified clinician.

No reliance; decisions are yours
You must never delay seeking, disregard or avoid professional medical care, or rely on the absence, presence, accuracy, currency or content of any information here, when deciding whether or where to seek care. Your use of the site creates no doctor–patient, clinician–patient, advisory, fiduciary or professional relationship. Any decision about your health and care is yours alone, made on your own independent judgement and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, at your own risk.
Wait times are estimates only
Different sources define and calculate "wait time" differently — a current snapshot, a rolling average, time-to-departure, the next available appointment, or a "no wait expected" signal. Each reading is labelled with its source and metric. Live data may be 30 minutes or more out of date; we refresh feeds roughly every 30 minutes, but each source's own cadence varies. A short figure does not mean you will be seen quickly, and a long or missing figure does not mean you should go elsewhere or wait. Actual waits depend on triage acuity, staffing and minute-to-minute conditions outside our knowledge and control.
Missing or zero data means nothing
Coverage is partial and varies. The absence of a facility, or of any wait-time figure, must never be interpreted to mean a facility is closed, full, slow, busy, open, fast or unsuitable, or that you should or should not attend it. Where a "last updated" time is shown, do not rely on a figure without checking its age; where none is shown, assume the figure may be stale. If in doubt, contact the facility directly or call 911.
Community submissions are unverified
Some readings are submitted by members of the public. They are unverified and may be inaccurate, mistaken, malicious or false. We aim to label community-submitted readings as such and to present them separately from official feeds, and we do not endorse them; we do not warrant that every reading is correctly labelled or classified. Insurance, network status and billing
The site shows no pricing, cost, insurance-coverage or network-status information, and makes no representation about whether any facility is in-network, out-of-network, low-cost or covered. Out-of-network emergency visits in the US can result in five-figure bills. Always verify network status and cost with your insurer and the facility before non-emergency care. Whether a facility is labelled "ER", "urgent care" or otherwise reflects how the source describes it and does not indicate its billing model, ownership, or whether it is subject to, or excluded from, the federal No Surprises Act or any state surprise-billing law — some facilities described as urgent care may bill as emergency rooms, and vice versa. For genuine emergencies, federal EMTALA law requires participating hospital ERs to evaluate and stabilise you regardless of insurance; do not let billing concerns stop you calling 911.
Coverage is incomplete
The US has no central live-ER-wait feed. We integrate sources one health system at a time, so a missing live wait does not mean a facility is closed — we may simply not yet have a feed for it. We key every hospital by its CMS Certification Number (CCN); health-system marketing names occasionally differ from official CMS names, and although we map between them, errors are possible. No affiliation; trademarks
ERClock is an independent aggregator. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any hospital, health system, urgent-care provider, CMS, any government body, Google, or any other facility or data provider. We receive no commission or referral fee for directing you anywhere. Facility, health-system and source names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify and refer to the relevant facilities and sources (nominative fair use).

Information is derived from third-party and public sources, including CMS public datasets, Google Business Profile data obtained via a third-party provider, publicly accessible wait-time feeds published by health systems and platforms, and community submissions. The underlying data remains the property and responsibility of its respective owners. The site may link to third-party sites we do not control; we provide these for convenience only and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices, and your use of them is at your own risk.
Provided "as is" and "as available"
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and all content, data and wait times are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including any implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, availability, title, non-infringement, satisfactory quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Limitation of liability

The site is provided free of charge and for information only; subject always to the carve-out below, our total aggregate liability for all such loss shall not exceed one thousand pounds sterling (£1,000), as set out in our Terms & Conditions.
Nothing on this page or in our Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory law.
